We value service because it is how God works through us. Our good deeds, acts of charity, and generosity gives evidence of his grace. Those who live as servants recognize their life is on lease. They see others' needs as opportunities to help. Ancient Israel would have understood this concept of stewardship. Jesus modeled it perfectly.
